Silly rabbit, games are for kids.

Games are fun. I love all kinds of games. Board games? Sign me up. Card games? What’s the buy in? Relationship games? Fuuuuuuuuck no!

Here’s what I love about board and card games and the like, the goal is defined and the rules are clear, they even print them out for you as a reference. You don’t find yourself in a situation where you’ve got one person playing Monopoly, another person playing Poker, and a couple more playing Twister. Everyone has agreed to play the same game, and in the end, there is a clear winner and loser. You see where I am going with this, right?

The problem with romantic games is that not everyone knows the rules, and in some cases, they don’t even realize they are playing. When all is said and done, there are no winners because someone has a broken heart and the other person is a douche face.

If you engage in these tawdry little mind fucks just to get your rocks off, then you better pray that one of your conquests Couple Watching Widescreen TV At Homedoesn’t snap one day and boil your pet rabbit. Here’s the thing, not everyone wants the same thing out of a relationship, so if you play games just because you don’t think you will get what you want, not only are you screwing with someone’s emotions who probably doesn’t deserve it, but you’re creating drama in your life that doesn’t need to be there. Some people want love, marriage, and family. Others just want companionship. There are plenty of people out there who are just looking for a little carnal delight. There really is someone out there for everyone as long as everyone is willing to be honest about what it is they are looking for.

You just want to hook up? There really is an app for that. There are plenty of opportunities to put it down without having to put a ring on it.

You want more of a casual relationship? Be up front about it. Maybe they aren’t looking for titles or seriousness either.

Are you the marrying kind? Then get out of the club and go meet someone looking for the same thing.

No, it isn’t easy, it might take a while, and you will find more than your fair share of people who aren’t on the same page, but that’s okay. Getting shot down is better in the long run than driving yourself crazy in a situation that doesn’t suit you, or getting your car keyed because you’re an asshole.

Bottom line, if you want to play games then buy a Play Station. Human emotions deserve more respect than that.
